Welcome to City Groves. We are a family run Student Accommodation complex, based in Kelvin Grove, Brisbane.
These townhouses were built in 1999 by Arun Madhoji. The first two houses were refurbished, while the remaining 10 were newly built.  Although they were initially built to sell, the owner was approached with a unique opportunity to convert these town houses to student accommodation. The location was fitting- being only a 10-15 minute walk to QUT Kelvin Grove, and a 20 minute walk from the UQ Herston Campus.

In 2000, the houses were presented as middle to upper tier student accommodation and managed by a specialized student student accommodation real estate agent. The rooms were immediately very popular as they were one of the few accommodations  that were not purpose built "for students". These houses were built for families, and as such the houses were made with the highest quality finishing including solid timber floors and stone bench tops- with spacious kitchens including and oven and gas stove top for those of you who enjoy to bake and cook! And unlike many dormitories, our houses create the feeling of a home and between the 12 houses, creates a feeling of community.

In 2016, the owner took over management of the business, and with the help of his family, made it a fully self managed facility. This made it easier to ensure that we were able to provide the level of service that we ourselves would expect if we were living in the property.
We have created a small, safe community where staff live onsite and are always around if you need any help or assistance.

We have recently created a BBQ and reading area at the back of the property, and plan on expanding this area further in the years to come. Our goal is to create the most comfortable, stress free environment possible so that tenants can focus on their studies or their job!
